Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Charlevoix, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12 hours


Job Description

  • Work under direct supervision of department manager/director, charge nurse, or staff nurse/team leader.
  • Assist staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients following established hospital methods and procedures.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care, contributing positively to the patient and family experience.
  • Strict attendance policy: Three absences or being more than 20 minutes late for scheduled shifts will result in immediate termination, except for documented communicable disease or hospitalization. This policy starts 6/1/2024.
  • Dress code requires matching scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid LPN / LVN license in Michigan
  • LPN / LVN with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in a Long Term Care setting
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • Facility has achieved Magnet® status for nursing excellence and high national quality and safety ratings.
  • Local traveler policy: Permanent address within 35 miles of the facility is considered local.
  • Initial 12-hour shifts.
