Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room (ED Women and Children)

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, managing a wide range of medical and trauma conditions.
• Responsibilities include triaging patients, performing assessments, administering medications, managing critical situations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families.
• Requires strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Must comply with healthcare regulations, policies, and patient safety standards.

Required Experience

• Specialty: RN Emergency Room

  • Varicella (proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination)
  • Tdap (vaccination within past 10 years or declination)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire (required within 6 months of start)
  • Fit Test (N95 mask fit test within 1 year prior to start, updated annually)
  • Health Statement (signed within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions)
  • Eye Exam & Color Vision (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year)

Required Professional Documentation

• Resume/Profile submission required.
• Criminal Background Check (within 30 days prior to start) including:

  • SSN Address Trace report (7 years)
  • County criminal searches for all counties lived/worked in last 7 years
  • National criminal check including NSO, OFAC, OIG, and SAM
  • Education verification (3rd party)
  • Employment verification (last 5 years)
  • Driving record (if applicable)
• HRIS Form submission required.
• Badge photo (forward facing, well-lit, neutral background, JPEG).

Required Skills & Competency Testing

• FMOLHS Skills Checklist (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start, updated annually)
• FMOLHS Competency Exam (passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year prior to start)

Drug Screening

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (includes marijuana/THC, PCP, amphetamines, opiates, cocaine, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, propoxyphene, methaqualone). Positive marijuana/THC results reviewed case-by-case.
