Licenses & Certifications

• Active professional nursing license for the State of Mississippi (Primary Source Verification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration)
• Nursys verification (Nursing only, within 30 days of start)
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC only, required before onboarding)

Background and Screening

• Criminal Background Check (must be completed within 30 days prior to start) including:

  • SSN Address Trace report (7 years)
  • County criminal searches for all counties lived/worked in last 7 years (state checks not accepted)
  • National criminal check including NSO, OFAC, OIG, and SAM
  • Education verification (3rd party)
  • Employment verification (last 5 years)
  • Driving record (if applicable)
• FMOLHS Drug Screen (negative 10-panel within 30 days prior to start)

Health and Immunizations

• COVID-19 Vaccine or exemption (optional)
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
• Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with required signatures
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (10/1 - 4/30), medical/religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• TB Test: Negative QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test; if positive, MD note or proof of treatment required
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
• Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination with required signatures
• Annual TB Questionnaire: Required within 6 months of start; if positive, documentation of evaluation and treatment completion required
• Health Statement: Signed and dated within 1 year of start, stating ability to work without restrictions
• Fit Test: N95 mask fit test (3M 1860, 1860s, or 1870+) completed within 1 year prior to start, updated annually
• Eye Exam & Color Vision: Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year prior to start

Competency and Skills

• FMOLHS Skills Checklist: Unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start, updated annually
• FMOLHS Competency Exam: Passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year prior to start
• FMOLHS Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age-Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; passing score of 80% or higher, updated annually

This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an RN Medical/Surgical position in Jackson, Mississippi.
