Ultrasound Technician - Florida, Pembroke Pines

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Work Locations: Must float to 2 Free Standing Emergency Departments and the main Emergency Department
• Interview: Local candidates only; must be available for an onsite interview

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Valid and current ARDMS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Driver's License

Health and Safety Requirements (Must be completed prior to start)

• Proof of immunizations or immunity for:

  • MMR (2 vaccinations or IGG titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccinations or IGG titer)
  • Hepatitis B (Surface Antibody titer or declination accepted)
• Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal requirement)
• Tdap (recommended)
• TB test (QuantiFERON or T-Spot within 12 months; for past positives, chest x-ray and updated questionnaire annually)
• Physical/Health Statement signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA (no expiration)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements (Must be completed prior to or at start)

• Drug screen (10 panel) within 60 days prior to start
• Background check within 30 days prior to start, including:

  • 7-year county and national criminal history
  • SSN trace with all aliases
  • Nationwide sex offender, OIG, SAM, OFAC sanctions checks (updated annually)
• Employment verification for previous 7 years
• Two professional references (manager/supervisor level or above)
• Education verification (highest level, primary source verified)
• Government-issued photo ID or driver's license (unexpired, matching license state if applicable)
• Color badge photo (taken within past 6 months, solid blue background, no glasses, no filters)
• Completion of required competency exams and attestations:

  • Specialty exam and pharmacology exam (80% pass rate, within 365 days prior to start)
  • Skills checklist (current within 12 months)
  • Core competencies (80% pass rate, within 365 days)
  • Competency verification and attestation forms (completed within 1 month of submission, valid for 1 year)
  • Attestation form acknowledging receipt of policies and job description

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work onsite and float between multiple emergency department locations.
• Candidate must be local and available for an onsite interview.
