Job Opportunity: Manager of Case Management (RN Case Manager)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks (interpreted from 12 weeks)
Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)


Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Manager of Case Management with acute hospital experience. This role requires leadership and supervision skills in case management within a hospital setting.


Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: RN Case Manager
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in management/supervision relevant to case management
  • Additional Requirements: Acute hospital experience required
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Licensure

  • Conditional nursing license accepted only if the permanent licensure process has already begun.
  • Assignment duration tied to the conditional license period, with possible extension upon permanent license issuance.

Key Credentials & Compliance Requirements

Candidates must meet the following credential and health requirements prior to or at onboarding:

  • Professional Licenses:

    • Primary source verification of professional nursing license (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required).
    • MA Conditional Licenses not accepted for verification purposes.
  • Health & Immunizations:

    • N95 Fit Test (within 365 days, updated annually; no onsite fit testing).
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity.
    • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
    • TB screening (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
    • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof strongly preferred.
    • Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
  • Background Checks & Verifications:

    • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including Massachusetts CORI.
    • National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually.
    • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually.
    • Social Security Number trace and education verification.
  • Additional Documentation:

    • Recent professional photo (color, plain background, no glasses).
    • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
    • Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above).
    • Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission.
    • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
    • Confirmation of assignment form required for all initial assignments and extensions.

Summary

This is an urgent need for a case management leader with at least 2 years of management experience in an acute hospital setting. The position offers a 12-week contract with a standard weekday schedule. Conditional nursing licenses are accepted under specific conditions. Candidates must comply with extensive credentialing, immunization, and background check requirements prior to starting the assignment.
