Location: Fresno, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5 hours)
Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, day shifts
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery specialty.
- Work primarily day shifts with a 36-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Health and Immunization Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster or approved exemption (optional but recommended).
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Proof of 2 immunizations, positive IGG titer, or booster/declination accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 vaccinations, positive antibody titer, or booster/declination accepted.
- Influenza vaccine: Required October through March unless exempted.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test: Negative test within 30 days of start, updated annually. If positive, additional documentation required.
- Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted.
- Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted.
- COVID test: Required on start date for clinical staff.
Background and Compliance
- Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including 7-year county, national, SSN trace, employment verification (5 years), and federal exclusion lists.
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (9 panel minus THC), updated annually. Retesting required if break in service >30 days.
- Health statement signed within 1 year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions, updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID (passport accepted) required.
- Professional references: Minimum 2, including at least 1 supervisory reference.
- Education verification: Diploma, degree, or transcripts required.
- Various compliance acknowledgments and agreements required prior to or at onboarding.
Additional Requirements
- Skills checklist specific to Labor and Delivery to be completed within 1 year of start.
- Badge photo with neutral background and no facial jewelry required.
- Fit test will be completed onsite on start date.
