Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Role Overview

• Travel assignment in Emergency Room nursing
• Location: Medford, Wisconsin
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

• Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts, days and evenings
• Rare night shift
• Every other weekend, often every third weekend
• Every other holiday

Float Scope

• Must be willing to float to Merrill, Wausau, Langlade, and Stanley

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic experience

Unit Details

• 8-bed ED
• May flow into a couple of clinical exam rooms
• Patient ratio may be up to 1:5 depending on acuity

Additional Notes

• No on-call requirement, but on-call may be used for low census
• Any scrubs are allowed if clean, work appropriate, and compliant with PPE guidelines
• Travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times during flu season
