Cardiovascular Sonographer

Overview

• Role: Cardiovascular Sonographer
• Location: Garner, North Carolina
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• Education: Associate's degree in sonography, radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program
• Certifications/Licensure: BLS; RDCS or RCS or ACS or RCCS through ARDMS or CCI
• Other required skills/experience: Epic experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Stress echo experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care
• Assist with post-procedure transport as needed
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform quality assurance on equipment
• Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular-related structures
• Train and educate staff as needed
• Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, compile charge-entry data, prepare reports, and retrieve stored information
• Prepare the procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures
