Job Summary

• Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions without surgery.
• Support procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management.
• Utilize specialized radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to safety protocols during procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort.
• Act as scrub tech assisting providers during procedures.
• Transfer images and data to electronic health systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
• Perform quality control, equipment cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance.
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement activities.
• Provide on-call clinical coverage nights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 8-10 shifts per month).
• May engage in teaching and mentoring students or new team members.

Work Schedule

• 4x10 hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
• Call coverage on nights and weekends (8-10 shifts per month)

Required Qualifications

Education

• Completion of a post-secondary health science educational program (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT), as defined by ARRT or CCI.

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• ARRT (RT) certification.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Ability to provide on-call coverage on nights and weekends (approximately 8-10 shifts per month).
