Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Hours: 10 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide independent nursing care to acutely ill patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab under nurse leader supervision. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care in accordance with professional nursing standards and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care that supports healing through authentic presence and trust-building.
• Collect, document, and interpret patient data to identify physiological and psychosocial risk factors.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize nursing actions based on assessment data and clinical judgment.
• Establish nursing diagnoses and revise care plans as needed to ensure effective interventions.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies.
• Coordinate care activities with nurses, physicians, and advanced practice providers.
• Adhere to evidence-based practices, therapeutic standards, and infection control policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and nursing governance activities.
• Maintain compliance with nursing competencies, mandatory education, and hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum of 3 years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
