MRI Technologist Position - Liberty Township, Ohio

Job Summary

Operate MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specified body parts as requested. Produce quality images for radiologist interpretation and function independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, verify identity, and take pertinent patient history.
• Review procedure orders, medications, allergies, and questionnaires.
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and address their questions.
• Prepare patients for MRI scans, including screening for contraindications and starting IVs for contrast media as needed.
• Position patients, perform scans, and archive images according to protocol.
• Use knowledge of MRI equipment, coils, gating devices, and computers.
• Administer contrast media safely and document medication use.
• Ensure patient safety by proper screening and adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist coworkers in other modalities as needed.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including hand washing, patient identification, and medication labeling.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and other emergency situations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation, and sterile techniques.
• Patient positioning and operation of imaging equipment.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.

Education & Certifications

• Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology School.
• ARRT certification.
• Ohio Radiographer License.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
