Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Location: Soldotna, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing.
Follow departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
Utilize equipment such as Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations.
Complete Meditech and OBIX training (3 days) plus unit-specific orientation.
Complete Medication Testing within the first two weeks on site.

Required Qualifications

Active Alaska RN license.
Heart Saver AED Certification.
BLS Certification (must be AHA).
Minimum 3 years of Med Surg nursing experience with strong critical thinking skills.
Experience with EPIC charting preferred.

Work Schedule & Environment

12-hour shifts.
Unit has 31 beds.
Nurse-to-patient ratio follows national standards.
Dress code: Scrubs provided.

Additional Notes

No floating to other units/departments required.
Orientation and training provided on site.
Time off requests should be communicated in advance.

Prior travel experience: Not specified or required.
