Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging)

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures under the direction of a physician, radiologist, or Diagnostic Imaging Director.
• Produce, assess, and evaluate CT images and related data used for medical diagnosis.
• Obtain and review patient history; provide oral or written summaries of technical findings to interpreting physicians.
• Recognize urgent exam results and notify appropriate physicians immediately.
• Operate CT equipment, PACS, and RIS systems.
• Perform clerical duties including filing, scheduling, and reception as needed.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and hospital committees.
• Take emergency call as assigned.
• Maintain continuing medical education (CME) to keep active status with A.R.R.T. and CT certification.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma plus completion of a 24-month program or equivalent in radiological health science approved by the American Medical Association.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of prior CT work experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) registration with CT certification required.
  • Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Schedule & Other Details

• Typical shifts: Three 12-hour shifts (7:00 am - 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:30 am), including on-call night shifts.
• Dress code: Own scrubs required; all colors approved except royal blue, forest green, and bright red.
