Contract

• 13 weeks
• Nights
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Medical Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Medical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• 4-year degree or 2-year degree

Role Details

• Core lab coverage includes hematology, coagulation, and chemistry
• Microbiology and blood bank may be included for third shift
• Experience in a large tertiary hospital lab is preferred in the source
• Trauma 1 experience is noted in the source
• Children’s hospital and St. Jude clinic-level experience is noted in the source
• Complex hematology and blood bank clinical experience is noted in the source
• Phlebotomy is not part of the role

Schedule and Work Conditions

• No self-scheduling or block scheduling
• Weekend requirements depend on shift and department
• Holiday requirements are not normally expected
• No call or standby call
• Non-billable orientation is 12 hours
• Department orientation is typically 2–3 weeks
• Closed-toe shoes are required
• Business casual attire is accepted

• Local candidates within 50 miles are subject to a local rate
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
