  • Cardiac ICU
  • 30 beds

Shift

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • PALS

Additional Details

  • Charge nurse present and does not take a patient assignment
  • No nurse aides
  • Telemetry uses GE monitors
  • Vents: yes
  • Hospitalist in house 24/7
  • RT 24/7
  • Pharmacy 24/7
  • Floating may include tele or med-surg units
  • 1 day of unit orientation
  • Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
  • Proctored dysrhythmia test on day one for Telemetry, L/D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs; pass/fail

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
