Job Summary
Perform and report laboratory testing in Chemistry and Diagnostic Immunology to support efficient laboratory operations and effective patient care. Responsibilities include quality control, proficiency testing, troubleshooting instruments, specimen processing, and participation in quality improvement audits and department meetings. Also involves training new employees and assisting with method development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BS MT)
- Certification/Registration: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent (NCA, AMT, or HEW highly preferred) at time of hire
- At least 3 years of experience in Chemistry specialty
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be local to the facility
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Experience with Meditech computer system; EPIC experience preferred
- Submission must include 3+ years of specialty experience, 2 recent manager/supervisor references, and a skills checklist matching the specialty
Additional Information
- On-call coverage is required
- Both previous travelers and full-time employees will be considered, subject to eligibility review
- Must be able to perform STAT and routine testing accurately and timely
