Weekly Hours: 48 hours
Weekend Hours: 36 hours
Call Requirement: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift

Job Description

Replacement for permanent staff member retiring June 6, 2026
Work on Respiratory Therapy floor covering the entire facility as part of a team of 14-16 RRTs
Float requirements include working in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, adult acute, and critical care
Patient ratios: Acute care 1:25, Critical care 1:8
Equipment used: Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
EMR system: EPIC
Facility type: Tertiary, teaching hospital, Level 1 trauma center
Patient population: Varied, including NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
NRP certification
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in tertiary care settings
Experience in teaching hospital environments

Additional Information

Scrubs provided or flexible dress code
No unacceptable attire specified
