Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Location: Reno, Nevada

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Department: Labor & Delivery (High Risk OB)
Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Call Requirements: None
Floating: May be required to float to other maternal units including Postpartum (PP) and NICU, based on competency
Schedule: May include weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shifts; travelers may be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
Cancellation Policy: Employer may call off shifts with 48 hours’ notice for low census during the 13-week contract

Unit Description

High Risk Obstetrics unit with:
- 15 labor beds
- 9 antepartum beds
- 3 OR suites
Extremely busy, fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius
Level 2 trauma center with Stroke accreditation
Hospital size: 800 inpatient beds, 80 ER beds
Patient volume and pace comparable to a Level 1 trauma center

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nevada
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with high-risk patients in Labor & Delivery
Certifications:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float to other maternal units based on competency
The facility is a regional leader with advanced technology and specialized services including:
- Level II Trauma Center
- Stroke accreditation
- Advanced robotic surgery
- Comprehensive heart, cancer, brain, and nerve care services
