Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Shift times: 0630-1500 or 9-530 (totals), Monday-Friday
- Manager makes the schedule
Unit / Department
- CVOR RN
- 7 ORs, 1 Cysto room, and 2 c-section rooms
- L&D and main both cover the c-section rooms
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nebraska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVOR experience with 3 years of experience
- CVOR experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with orthopedic total joint replacement cases
- Experience with cesarean section cases
Preferred
- Previous travel experience
- Ortho totals experience
Clinical Details
- Average 15-24 cases per day
- Common cases include heavy ortho total joints, GYN c-sections, urology, spine, ENT, GI, general, vascular, hybrid cases with cath lab, stents, fistulas, and CABG
- No robotics
- Heavy adults; pediatrics only tubes and tonsils
- Rare appy cases
- Scrubbing is not required for RNs
Call
- General OR call: 5-6 call shifts per month, including one weekend
- RN CVOR call: 10-11 shifts per month, including every other weekend
- General RN call response time: 20 minutes
- Holiday call may be required if the holiday falls during the contract
Floating
- None
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are provided
- Orientation includes one half day with HR, then unit orientation with a tech, usually 3-4 days total
