Ultrasound Tech Travel Assignment - Kansas (Garden City)

Position Overview

• Immediate need for an Ultrasound Tech in a hospital located in Southwest Kansas.
• Work schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts with call and weekend rotation.
• 40-hour workweek guaranteed with on-call responsibilities after 9pm and on weekends.
• No floating or coverage of other areas required.

• 8 weeks

Department Details

• Department: Radiology - Ultrasound
• Number of ultrasound rooms/scanners: 4 (Toshiba units; 2 new Phillips units being purchased)
• Imaging performed: General ultrasound including vascular, OB (all three trimesters), and procedures. Echo experience is a plus but not required.
• Average scans per day: 10-15 depending on hours worked
• EMR/PACS systems: EPIC RIS, Fuji PACS
• Radiologist availability: In-house three days per week
• Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA): Not used
• IV starts: Not required

Certification & Experience Requirements

• Must have ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) via CCI
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging required

Additional Information

• Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager.
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.
• Radius requirement: within 60 miles; driver's license must be submitted.
• Dress code: No specific scrub color; scrubs not provided.

Scheduling & Call

• 4 ten-hour day shifts per week
• On-call after 9pm and on weekends (weekend and holiday coverage is on-call only)
