Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Surgical Tech with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The role involves working in a high-volume surgical unit with approximately 30 cases per day, including a variety of specialties such as cardiac, vascular, thoracic, neuro, spine, robotics, and orthopedic surgeries.

Number of Suites: 16
Common Cases:
- Open heart surgeries
- Endovascular procedures
- Vascular, thoracic, general, neuro, spine, robotics, orthopedic surgeries
Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
- Call requirements:
- One weekday call per month
- One weekend call (Friday-Sunday) per month
- Holiday call depends on contract
- Call response time: 30 minutes (facility provides call room)
- Floating required to general OR and possibly other zones in extreme need
Orientation:
- Unit-specific orientation to CVOR and General OR
- Typical shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with call responsibilities
Dress Code: Scrubs provided
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) certification
- Experience with open heart and endovascular cases
Additional Notes
- Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote
- Must submit a valid driver’s license
- Floating may include coverage within multiple OR zones depending on need
