Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLS Lab Manager)

Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Lab Manager with at least 1 year of prior lab manager experience. This role involves oversight of multiple lab areas including Hematology/Serology, Chemistry/Coagulation, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Anatomical Pathology.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through ASCP (American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science)
• At least 1 year of previous lab manager experience
• Experience with QC review, interviewing and onboarding staff, phlebotomy and clinical lab oversight, scheduling and productivity review, validation procedures, and CAP regulatory readiness
• Familiarity with LIS systems, specifically EPIC Beaker
• Experience with lab equipment such as Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex XN3100, Sysmex CA5100, and CA2500
• No BLS certification required
• Must be able to work within a 60-mile radius and be available for a week of orientation in-state

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements
• Department-specific orientation required
• Floating within a designated zone only in extreme need situations

Additional Information

• No phlebotomy duties required
• Managerial duties include staff scheduling, productivity review, and regulatory compliance readiness
