Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/6E

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Specialty: MedSurg (Medical-Surgical)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Patient Population: MedSurg patients, including oncology med/surg overflow
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Additional Duties: Post-OR recovery patients, float as needed within scope
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in MedSurg specialty
Oncology Experience: Not required
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers are welcome)
Equipment Used: Nasal cannula

Requirements & Policies

Must have a valid driver's license at time of application
Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in contract termination
RN candidates must pass a 90% score on a pass/fail open book exam during orientation (exam covers skills learned)
Candidates cannot be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity

This position is suitable for nurses with at least one year of MedSurg experience who are comfortable working night shifts and meeting the specified policies and requirements.
