ICU / IMC / Medical Critical Care Stepdown RN

Job Overview

• Temp position in Falls Church, Virginia
• 12-week contract
• 12-hour day/night rotation
• 36 hours per week
• 24-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:3
• First to float
• Every other holiday
• Every other weekend
• No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Stepdown experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS

Clinical Details

• Care for up to 3 patients on a stepdown unit
• Common patient types include respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID
• Uses drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors

Orientation

• 3 days

Dress Code

• Navy blue pants with solid navy-blue or solid white tops
• Jackets must be solid navy blue or solid white
• Long-sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white
