Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Missouri
- Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
- Pharmacist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted
Work Setting
- Acute care pharmacy
- On-site role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy
- Verify medication products, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, kits, crash carts, and prepack items
- Check that code carts are restocked correctly
- Oversee workflow for surrounding pharmacy technicians
Training
- Training is expected to last 2–3 weeks, depending on pharmacist capability
Additional Notes
- Weekend and call coverage are required as needed by the facility
- Float duties are required as needed by the facility
- The assignment is very likely to extend beyond 13 weeks if performance is good
