Registered Nurse - Psychiatry (Travel)

Location

  • Westbrook, Maine
  • Unit: Psychiatric ICU
  • ICU Beds: 6
  • Patient Ratio: 3:5

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 10 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Hours: 36 hours required
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Float Requirements: Potentially required to float to other units

Patient Population

  • Adult patients with acute mental health conditions
  • Common diagnoses: thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, manic episodes

Required Qualifications

  • Specialty: Adult Psychiatric Nursing
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in psychiatric nursing
  • Must have de-escalation skills and experience with acute adult mental health patients
  • License: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Maine

Work Environment & Dress Code

  • Dress code: Business casual
  • Unacceptable attire: ripped jeans, shorts, t-shirts or sweatshirts with logos, open-toed shoes
