Job Opportunity: RN MCU (Medical Care Unit)
Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Description
- Medical Care Unit (MCU) serves patients who are less acute and may be awaiting placement to long-term care facilities.
- Patient diagnoses are varied.
- The unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab; nurses may float between MCU and Inpatient Rehab units.
- Inpatient Rehab provides intense rehabilitation services.
- Telemetry experience is preferred.
- Patient populations include Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Telemetry, and Psychiatric issues.
- Nursing care involves assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with the healthcare team.
Required Experience

- Adult and Child Abuse clearance (state requirement)

- EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Drug Screen (10 panel, excludes THC; within 30 days of start)
- Skills checklist (completed within 12 months)
- SING (within 30 days of start)
- CPI/MOAB certification for applicable positions (psych, ER, house supervisors)
- Professional references (2 required, including 1 supervisor)
- I-9 Attestation (agency letterhead)
- Contract employee data sheet
- NSO and OFAC checks (within 30 days of start)
- Evergreen Link attestation (to be completed within 48 hours of offer acceptance)
