Job Description
- Minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist in a high-volume hospital setting.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
- Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered.
- Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment and “hit the ground running.”
- Schedule: 3 shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM on weekdays (based on department need).
- Additional weekend call coverage required for the service line after normal business hours and weekends.
- Weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least two travel assignments as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Certification as a CST, NBSTSA, TS-C, or NCCT.
- Experience working in an Acute Care setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in vascular procedures.
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience.
Experience Requirements
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years as a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Prior Travel Experience: Required. Must provide references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced surgical environment focused on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
- Independent work expected with minimal onboarding.
- Shift work including weekdays and weekend night shifts.
This position is ideal for experienced CVOR Certified Surgical Technologists who have prior travel experience and are ready to work independently in a high-volume surgical setting.
