Job Opportunity: Apheresis RN Traveler
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Specialty: RN Apheresis
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of apheresis nursing experience
- Additional Experience:
- Therapeutic plasma exchange
- Red cell exchange
- Leukocyte reduction
- Stem cell collection
- Traveler Experience: 3-6 months of travel experience preferred (not strictly required)
Work Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- One day off during the Monday-Friday workweek
- Shift times: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- 2-3 on-call shifts per month required
Credential and Compliance Requirements
- Professional license verification (MA nursing license with primary source verification; conditional licenses not accepted)
- Recent color photo (within 6 months) meeting specific guidelines
- Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30)
- TB test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot within 3 months of start date
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity preferred
- Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks
- Submission of resume with past 7 years of work experience
- Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required

This is a long-term travel RN position specializing in apheresis nursing with a minimum of 1 year of specialty experience required. The role involves complex procedures such as therapeutic plasma exchange and stem cell collection. The schedule is primarily weekdays with 10-hour shifts and some on-call responsibilities. Compliance with extensive credentialing, immunization, and background check requirements is mandatory prior to onboarding. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
