Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Traveler) - Nights

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Night shift
  • Works every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Flexibility with scheduling is a must; no block schedules

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • NRP (American Heart Association or Red Cross; NALS also accepted for NICU, L&D, Postpartum RNs)
  • Valid professional license with primary source verification (updated and verified within 30 days of start)
  • Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport

Required Health & Compliance

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Influenza Vaccine or declination (required November 1 - March 31)
  • TB Test within 1 year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Physical/Health Statement: Must be clear to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start
  • Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test must be completed prior to start (no onsite fit testing in Illinois)

Professional Requirements

  • Resume: Up-to-date and accurate at time of offer acceptance
  • Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
  • Social Security Card or Passport (for verification)
  • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date (some state-specific exceptions apply)
  • Prime Badge Photo: Clear headshot with solid background
  • Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) or agency attestation
  • Signed job description provided by agency
  • Completion of onboarding education attestation prior to clearance to start
  • Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum score 80%)
  • Prime Skills Checklist submission required
  • Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) required
