Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts
Start Date: January 17
Job Description
- Position in Emergency Room nursing.
- Must be able to float between units.
- Weekend work required.
- Preference for candidates available through the end of January and the first week of February.
- Position is Per Diem for 26 weeks.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Nursys License Verification
- Driver's License, State ID, or Passport
Required Exams & Training
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (must score 80% or higher)
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (must score 80% or higher)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (must score 80% or higher)
- Prime Skills Checklist (does not expire on assignment)
- Prime Specialty Exam (must score 80% or higher)
- Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
- Prime Criminal Background Check (national, within one year of start date)
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
- Prime Job Description signed by employee
- Prime Education Verification (Diploma or Transcripts accepted)
- DCI/BVP Workplace Violence Prevention training
Health & Immunization Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 vaccines plus booster or declination completed
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
- Hepatitis B: Required, declinations not accepted
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31), declinations not accepted
- TB Test: Within one year of start date
- Varicella: Vaccination or titer showing immunity
- Tdap: Valid adult documentation required, declinations not accepted
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray (optional)
- Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
- Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed annually and state clear to work
Drug Screening
- Minimum 10-panel drug screen including THC (urine test excluding THC plus saliva test for psychoactive THC) within 60 days of start date
Additional Requirements
- Resume up to date at time of offer acceptance
- Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
- Name Verification Affidavit if there are discrepancies between credentials
