Registered Nurse - PCU Float

<p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our PCU Float team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in various units, including Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) settings. The role requires flexibility in assignments and the ability to adapt quickly to different patient needs and environments.</p>

<h2>Shift Details</h2>
<ul>
    <li>Night Shift: 3x12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30)</li>
</ul>

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
    <li>Float between IMC, medical units, and occasionally take medicine/IMC level boarders in the Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as needed.</li>
    <li>Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.</li>
    <li>Monitor and manage telemetry patients, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions.</li>
    <li>Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 in IMC and 1:5-6 in MedSurg/Telemetry units.</li>
    <li>Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and medical procedures.</li>
    <li>Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.</li>
    <li>Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in a timely manner.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
    <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in the IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool environment, with at least one completed travel assignment.</li>
    <li>Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.</li>
    <li>Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.</li>
    <li>Strong knowledge and skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and patient care in a PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
    <li>Requirement to work weekends and holidays based on hospital needs.</li>
    <li>Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.</li>
    <li>Scrubs are not provided; Caribbean Blue is the designated color.</li>
