House Supervisor

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Orange, California.
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30.
• 36 hours per week.
• 13-week contract.
• Float required between UCI facilities.
• 6 weekends per 6-week schedule.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience.
• ACLS.
• BLS.
• NIH Stroke Certification.
• California RN license.
• 2 references within 1 year of start in the current specialty.
• Employment application.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• Criminal background check.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• N95 mask fit testing within 1 year of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Tdap.
• Hepatitis B series or declination.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation.
• Flu vaccination or declination.
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
• Signed HIPAA acknowledgement.
• Signed unit-specific job description.
• Signed confidentiality agreement.
• Signed traveler acknowledgement.
• Signed orientation info and acknowledgement.
• Signed skin care standard of care acknowledgement.
• Signed epidural pain policy review.
• Signed infection control/bloodborne pathogens exam.
• Signed pass/fail testing acknowledgement.
• Signed Pyxis agreement.
• Signed TB symptom review.
• Signed hepatitis C declination if applicable.
• Signed COVID declination if applicable.
• Signed orientation modules waiver or completion as directed.
• Signed facility-specific documents and acknowledgements required for travel RNs.

Additional Notes

• Central liaison role coordinating bed placements, admissions, transfers, and patient flow.
• Coordinates with nursing units, case management, physicians, capacity management, operations, and other departments.
• Focuses on hospital throughput, bed utilization, and resolving placement delays and discharge barriers.
