Outpatient Clinic Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Fort Worth, Texas
  • Night shift: 2x12 hours, Saturday and Sunday
  • 13-week assignment
  • Outpatient clinic-type experience is preferred
  • This role is described as coverage with very little contact with youth

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Clinic experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Two verified references within one year of start
  • Skills checklist must be current and not expire within 30 days of start
  • Education verification for the initial related degree and most recent degree
  • Background check, including SS Trace, county searches for the last 7 years of locations lived/worked/in school, nationwide search, and sex offender search
  • Occupational health appointment required before final clearance

Required Certifications

  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS
  • State license verification
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
  • Competency exam

Health and Screening Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Tdap required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • TB questionnaire
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved facility-specific exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination is not mandatory

Orientation and Onboarding

  • All required onboarding documents must be completed electronically
  • Orientation includes pass/fail testing
  • EKG testing at orientation is required for RNs working in Tele, ER, ICU, PCU, PACU, L&D, and AHU
  • Modules are not required before start
