Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)
Patient Population: Geriatric patients
Expected Daily Visit Volume: Approximately 6 visits per day
Coverage Area: Baltimore County and surrounding cities
Weekend Requirement: Generally Monday through Friday; weekends may be required occasionally
Call Requirement: May be asked to sign up for on-call as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Minimum of 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Experience with OASIS documentation

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, county/state/nationwide searches, sex offender registry, and motor vehicle records
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Auto insurance documentation required
• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually (can be done onsite)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually (with provisions for past positive results)
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal influenza vaccination or documented declination (collected upon client request)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption using facility-specific forms

References and Evaluations

• Two professional references required within 2 years for travel nursing positions
• Performance evaluations required if employed over 1 year with the agency
• Internal evaluations required if employed over 2 years

Productivity Expectations

• Productivity target of 30 points per week

This position offers an opportunity to provide home health nursing care to geriatric patients in a travel/contract role with a structured day shift schedule and a defined patient visit volume. Candidates must meet all licensure, certification, and compliance requirements to be considered.
