Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Cookeville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Assist physicians as scrub assistant, procedure circulator, and recording technician in the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department.
• Engage in learning and assisting with invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing.
• Develop working knowledge of all equipment and procedures used in cardiac patient care.
• Call required 1 day per week and every 4th Friday, Saturday, Sunday (FSS). Weekend work only when on call.
• No floating outside scope of practice.
• Block schedule available: Monday through Friday plus call.
• Local candidates not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 1 year of start.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Other certifications as applicable to specialty and facility requirements.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required and must be current.
• Education verification required.
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella as required.
• Drug screening (9-panel) within last 12 months.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or facility-specific declination form with mask requirement.
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination form required.
• Tennessee Abuse Registry clearance required.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Skills checklist and employment application/resume required.

Additional Information

• Candidates must review and acknowledge facility-specific orientation materials and policies prior to start.
• Medication and competency exams required as applicable.
• Pass/fail arrhythmia and medication tests may be administered on the first day.
• Facility-specific COVID and flu vaccination policies apply.

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technicians with prior travel contract experience who meet the licensure and certification requirements and are comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
