Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job in Washington (Lacey)
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Lacey, Washington
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (07:30 - 16:00), no holidays or weekends; shifts may vary and may extend until last patient is seen
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Setting: Adult outpatient radiation therapy with a variety of malignant and benign patient diagnoses
- Therapies/Techniques Used: SRS, SBRT, IMRT, 3D, IGRT, electron setups
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients in an outpatient setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification for Radiation Therapy (ARRT T)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must include SSN trace, death master index, nationwide sex offender, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and others as applicable
- E-Verify attestation
- Education verification (degree or diploma related to specialty)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
- Work history verification if exceptions to references are requested
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug screen (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
- Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (required annually for travel candidates)
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
Competencies & Training
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams as required by specialty
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Epic system training modules as applicable (completion required within orientation week)
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation (if applicable)
- Compliance with state-specific background and registry searches as required by Washington state law
