Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: La Jolla, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Standby: 1-2 days per week, including some weekends
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
- ARRT certification with fluoroscopy permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI)
- Flu vaccination or agency flu declination required year-round
Experience
- Minimum years of experience: 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Certifications & Permits
- CRT license and ARRT rad fluoro permit mandatory
- BLS required for all clinical positions
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and other certifications are not required for this role
Compliance & Documentation
- Background check: 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national criminal and sex offender searches
- Primary source license verification within 30 days of start, visually verified and signed
- Facility-specific learning modules (approx. 8 hours) must be completed prior to start
- Confidentiality and Standards of Conduct agreements must be signed annually
- Vaccine attestation form required regardless of vaccination status
- Validation of qualifications and documentation checklist completed by recruiter prior to start
Additional Information
- No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by facility
- Experience with EPIC or Cerner (6 months minimum) preferred but not mandatory for this role
- Radiation badges supplied only if working in units requiring them; not required for this position
- Flu vaccinations available free onsite for badge holders
