Job Overview

- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

- Local candidates: Not accepted; must live 50 miles away
Schedule & Work Setting
- On-call required, usually 3 days per week
- Every other weekend on call, Saturday 6:00 AM to Monday 6:00 AM
- May float to Main OR if CVOR volume is light
- One holiday per term if needed
- 30-minute on-call response time
- Orientation may be up to 30 hours depending on comfort level
Experience
- CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
Required Qualifications
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- State license verification, as applicable to the profession
- National certification verification, as applicable to the profession
Clinical Focus
- Cardiovascular operating room support
- Hybrid OR support
- Common procedures include CABG, valves, ECMO, TAVR, pericardial window, mediastinoscopy, thoracoscopy, thoracotomy, carotid endarterectomy, femoral embolectomy, and femoral pseudoaneurysm repair
Work Environment
- 3 dedicated ORs
- Supports 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and physician assistant support
- Team includes RNs and CSTs
- In-house call rooms available for call shifts
- Free employee parking garage available
