Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics
Location
- Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Day shift, 40 hours/week)
- No call, holiday, or weekend coverage required
- Coverage at main campus and 4 offsite locations; assigned to one location per day (no travel between sites during the same day)
Required Certifications and Licenses
- ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
- Ohio State or Compact RN license (if applicable)
- RRTs require Ohio State license matching photo ID address
- Current government-issued photo ID matching legal name on license/certifications
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, sex offender, state-specific searches, and fingerprinting (OH BCI/FBI) required within specified timeframes
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications (AHA only; name must match legal name exactly)
- NRP certification required for NICU RNs
- TNCC and ENPC certifications as applicable
- National certification verification (e.g., NBRC for RRTs) required within 30 days of start
Required Health Documents and Immunizations
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (or signed Infection Control Policy in lieu of physical)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
- TB testing: 2 PPDs or QGOLD/TSPOT within 12 months; additional requirements if positive
- Annual N95 fit testing required (specific mask models accepted; onsite testing allowed if prior testing not completed)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (vaccine must be after age 11)
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
- Varicella immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if titer negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination/proof of immunity
- Seasonal flu vaccine required October 31 - May 31; medical/religious exemptions require facility approval and mask-wearing during flu season
- TB Questionnaire and other facility-specific health forms required prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required (charge RN acceptable for one; peer references not accepted)
- Copy of resume or employment application required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or equivalent required
- Compliance with infection control policies and facility-specific documentation prior to start
Requirements/Qualifications
- Echo Technologist with 1 year of experience
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year
- ARDMS or CCI
- Driver's License

- Fingerprinting must be completed within 24-48 hours of contract signing; results may pend at start if facility completes onsite
- Background checks and license verifications must be current and approved before or within 30 days of start
- Candidates with Ohio driver’s license within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may not qualify as travelers
