Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Richland, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Variable shifts including days, swings, and nights to cover leaves
  • Shift Lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on coverage
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, on a rotation basis
  • Float: No floating between units
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
  • 2 years or more of total travel experience

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
  • Fit mask testing required annually (specific mask types accepted)

Additional Requirements

  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
  • Skills checklist updated annually as applicable
  • Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific) prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Photo for badge with neutral background required
  • WA state-specific requirements including multi-state licensed nurse demographic attestation if applicable

Work Environment & Other Notes

  • Position requires flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends
  • No on-call requirement specified
  • No floating between units
  • Must comply with Providence Health and Services policies and procedures

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 2 years of experience who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working variable shifts including weekends in a hospital setting in Washington state.
