Job Summary
Seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient therapy/rehabilitation role in a short-term acute care setting. The position does not require floating between units, on-call duties, weekend shifts, or block schedules. Expected patient ratio is 1:1.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
Work Environment
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
- Total Beds: 108
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Any color for RN/Allied staff; scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, PACU, and Maternal Child units.
- Parking: No fee
Schedule & Duties
- No floating between units
- No on-call required
- No weekend or block schedules required
- 1:1 patient care ratio
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Education verification and transcript/diploma may be required to verify credentials.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
- Respirator fit testing required for travel candidates (updated annually).
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
Training & Competency
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- System-level regulatory modules (annual)
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required by profession.
- Color blindness testing if required by unit.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Floating policy acknowledgment may be required (acknowledging possible float to other nearby facilities).
