Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Location: Winfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

• On-call availability required: 13.5 hours on a weekday, with the ability to pick call days in rotation with team members
• Weekend work required
• Meal break length: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
• State License primary source verification
• NURSYS verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Complete and maintain all required employment and compliance documentation, including but not limited to:

  • I9 documentation
  • Valid Driver’s License or Government Photo ID (preferred)
  • Proof of name change if applicable
  • 7-year criminal background check and other regulatory background checks within 30 days of start
  • Education verification and transcript/diploma matching highest degree
  • State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
  • Passing competency exam
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start and annually thereafter
  • Required immunizations and titers including Tdap, TB testing, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu seasonal vaccination, and COVID vaccination or declination
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
  • OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance if fit test is failed
  • Sexual harassment training (annual)
  • Facility-specific agreements including confidentiality, information security, cannabis acknowledgement, and accommodation request forms for vaccinations if applicable

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam by an approved clinician (DO, MD, NP, PA, APN, APRN, ARNP) confirming no communicable diseases or physical limitations
• Fit mask testing (3M Aura 1870+) required and must be current
• Immunizations and titers as per facility policy, with accommodations considered for medical/religious reasons
• Drug testing with strict panel requirements and policies on positive results
• Annual competency and skills checklist required

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to comply with Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry fingerprinting requirements prior to starting assignment (must be completed in Illinois; out-of-state fingerprints not accepted)
• Candidates should be prepared to complete facility-specific training modules and review policies prior to start
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
