Job Opportunity: CT Technologist
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3 PM - 3 AM)
- Rotating weekends as needed (block scheduling not guaranteed)
- Adult and Geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio approximately 1:2
- Unit has 8 rooms
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT CT certification required
- Experience with GE Healthcare and Siemens imaging equipment
- First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT CT certification
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - current and valid card required (no certificates of completion accepted)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) - current and valid card required (no certificates of completion accepted)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications as applicable
- State licensure verification required
Background & Health Requirements
- 7-year background check within 30 days of start, renewed annually
- Required federal exclusions and sanctions screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) prior to start and updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (N95 or equivalent)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if past positive, must have clear chest X-ray within 5 years and complete annual TB questionnaire
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required year-round with strict deadlines; no exemptions allowed
Additional Requirements
- Two recent professional references from managers or supervisors (charge RN references not accepted)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation paperwork within 3 weeks of start date
- Compliance with facility confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and other policy attestations prior to start
- Pass/fail competency testing (EKG/medication) required for certain units including Telemetry and ICU
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidates must be prepared for rotating weekend shifts and overnight hours
- Badge and pager return policies apply at assignment end to avoid fees
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid experience in CT imaging and familiarity with major equipment brands, who are flexible with shift scheduling and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
