Job Description

• Emergency Room nurse with the ability to float to MedSurg as needed.
• Experience or ability to float to OB is a plus but not required.
• Weekend work required.
• Must be willing and able to float between ER and MedSurg units as needed.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on days needed.
• Local candidates accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Important Notes

• Must confirm ability to float before submitting application.
• Proof of Oregon nursing license must be provided at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be approved at time of submission; no approvals after offer.
• Cannot guarantee every holiday off.
• Candidates should arrange housing prior to submission.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (some required within 14 days of start)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred), NRP (required for Labor & Delivery if applicable), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or acceptable alternatives
• Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology)
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, HIPAA access guidelines, compliance and privacy attestations, and COVID-19 exemption forms if applicable
• Health documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 10-panel drug screen within 1 year
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination form
  • COVID-19 vaccination card or approved exemption form (per Oregon state requirements)
• References: 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles (within 2 years of start)
