Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform general Nuclear Medicine, PET, and cardiac studies.
• Conduct various therapies including Y90s, Luthathera, and Pluvicto.
• Unit doses provided daily by an outside radiopharmacy.
• Normal operating hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Daily duties include quality assurance (QA), venipuncture, and scheduled exam protocol review.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Montana.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year.
• ARRT certification.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with PACs/PET.
• Preferred experience in ER, Adult ICU, Phlebotomy, Radiation planning therapy, Y90s, Luthathera, Pluvicto.
• Familiarity with Epic and Cerner electronic health record systems.

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, required for certain units.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only.
• Other certifications may be preferred depending on assignment area.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties.
• Quantitative fit test with a 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray, renewed annually.
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31), with accepted exemptions.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must comply with all background checks, verifications, and documentation requirements prior to start.
