Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide pre and post-operative recovery care for cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology patients.
• Assist with bedside procedures in the Interventional Special Services Unit (ISSU).
• Standby required 4 days per month.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.
• No on-call required.
• Work holidays if they fall on scheduled days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Required Documents & Compliance

• Background checks including criminal, sanction, and exclusion screenings within 90 days prior to start.
• Education verification of highest level completed.
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN confirming good health and ability to perform job duties.
• Fit mask test within 90 days of start (specific mask types required).
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray updated annually.
  • Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive IgG titers.
  • Hepatitis B positive titer or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccinations or positive IgG titer.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (masking required during flu season).
• Drug screening: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid tests not accepted).
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters).
• Competency exams and orientation safety manual acknowledgment required.
• References and employment history verification for the past 3 years.

Additional Information

• Competencies and new employee orientation modules must be completed by the first day of the contract.
• If absent from the system for 6 months or more, new competencies and orientation are required.
• Standby shifts and weekend scheduling details as noted above.
