Shift: Night shift, every other week (EOW) rotation
Patient Ratio: 1:6

Job Description
Provide nursing care on a medical-surgical unit during night shifts with a patient ratio of 1:6. The position follows an every-other-week rotation schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI acceptable
- Must pass required background checks and drug screening
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date, updated annually
- Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Required immunizations or documented exemptions (influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella) as applicable
- Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as required by specialty
- Two professional references required
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Completion of facility-specific confidentiality agreements and healthstream training
- Compliance with facility-specific exemption forms for influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations if applicable

- This is a travel contract position with no local candidates accepted.
- Candidates must be prepared to provide all required documentation and certifications prior to start.
- The role requires working night shifts with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a medical-surgical unit.
