Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday with varying days off and on-call duties
• Required Skills:

  • Moderate Sedation
  • Cath Lab circulating RN experience
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC (recent experience/proficiency required)
• Uniform: Scrubs must be all navy or all white
• Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

• License: Must have a valid North Carolina RN license or a Multistate RN license
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) but are not mandatory for this role unless specified by the facility

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required for address verification
• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Physical exam: Initial and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccinations within 5 years
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination within 5 years
  • Varicella titer or vaccinations within 5 years (Zoster vaccine not accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Badge photo: Passport-style photo required before start
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and accountability documents
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidates must provide a valid driver’s license for address verification prior to offer acceptance
• Facility-specific rules prohibit candidates residing within 40 miles of the facility
• All required documents and certifications must be current and compliant with facility and regulatory standards

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with prior travel contract experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab environment and meet the outlined licensure and certification requirements.
