Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech - Cath ADV CVT (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cath Lab Tech - Cath ADV CVT
- Start Date: Prefer December start, open to early January
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (7:30am-6:00pm; Wednesday 7:00am-5:30pm)
- On-Call: Up to 1 weekend per month and 1 day per week (4-6 days/month plus late team)
- Floating: Within hospital only, no floating to sister hospitals
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-Timers: Accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Guaranteed Hours: May be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to 1 shift per 2-week cycle during low census
- RTO Restrictions: Max 1 week; facility closed on Thanksgiving, day after, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
Licensure & Certification Requirements
- State License: Washington State Radiology License required (no pending licenses accepted)
- National Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, and either RCIS (CVT) or ARRT (RT)
- Additional Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA only)
- BLS (AHA only)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (refer to unit job descriptions)
Job Responsibilities
- Scrub and monitor Cath procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCIs)
- Support use of devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella

- Parking: $10.26 daily
Compliance & Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start
- Must include checks: Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 1, WATCH (WA Access to Criminal History)
- Education verification required for Med Lab Techs
- National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) search required
- WA WATCH search required for Washington state compliance
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam required (signed by physician within 1 year of start)
- Fit mask test required within 9-12 months of start (3M N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if fit test failed)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with specific testing protocols)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or declination required; vaccine series documentation required
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required (history of disease not accepted at this facility)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (required by agency)
- Seasonal vaccinations/documentation:
- Flu vaccine or medical exemption/declination with education module completion required during flu season
- COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking
Additional Requirements
- EPIC / Alaris Integration video and attestation required for all RNs
- Photo for badge (DMV style, no selfies) due prior to start
- Various facility-specific agreements and checklists must be completed prior to start
- Performance evaluation requested at end of assignment (Montlake location only)
- Radiation badge provided by facility for new candidates (not by agency)

- No block scheduling accommodation unless otherwise stated
- Candidates may be called off or placed on-call during low census periods
- Facility closed on major holidays as noted
